A Slice of Summer...

What if 7,000 years of intriguing history, superbly sunny days and endless beaches would challenge you to experience the taste of one of the top summer destinations in the world, the Maltese archipelago .
Malta, Gozo and Comino are the three islands that make this fairytale archipelago an unique travel destination from summer to summer.

From the thriving nightlife, to the cultural and traditional side tourists from all over the world come to spend their summer in search for the perfect holiday.

Landing in Malta either by airplane or by ferry from the beautiful and historical Sicily, the trip itself is an authentic experience. From the first breath you take, the humidity that you will love to hate, the high rocks that surround the entire archipelago will make your stay even mystical.
Whilst Malta has always been a renowned tourist destination, the number of tourists is still growing.

Figures show it has increased by over 16 per cent over the past five years, with records reached across the board. Tourist arrivals reached 1.44 million in 2012 compared to 2007’s 1.24 million. Most of the success is attributed to an increase in scheduled air routes, from 57 in 2007 to 81 in 2012.
Malta's former minister of tourism Mario de Marco was recently quoted as saying “Airlines are coming to us to open new routes rather than us having to go to them…one of the reasons for this success in tourism is the investment in embellishing the product, ranging from upgraded beaches to Valletta’s entire facelift”.

So is Malta prepared for a boom for tourism?

Of course it is, and will always be! Tourists even come for a city break weekend just to enjoy the old city of Mdina or the cultural and fancy life of Valletta and the historical three cities.

Many book long holiday packages for the entire summer.Although hoteliers often complain that tourism records do not trickle down to their pockets, Dr de Marco showed how expenditure, performance and occupancy rates had all hit records. Expenditure on directly booked accommodation last year increased by €61.8 million compared to 2007 and other spending grew by €143 million.

On the other hand, in the past years tourists have shown they prefer to rent apartments in Malta rather than book with hotels. So are we facing a Hotel vs. Letting Property Issue?
We think yes! Just think about all the advantages of renting you own place for your stay in Malta. Lazy and cozy days where you can relax by your own private pool, yard or even garden, noise and traffic free! The option of cooking your own healthy and tasty meals in your own kitchen facing spectacular sea views of the Mediterranean Sea. Everything is easy nowadays and for sure tourists search for the best offers out there. Easy, cheap and comfortable, rent your own piece of heaven for the summer. The variety is plenty: from day to day rentals to short or long lets, you can find a solution for every pocket and situation.

Call it a night just after you make sure you got that perfect , glittery sun tan from the breath taking beaches in Malta – to name just a few: Golden Bay, Riviera Bay, Paradise Bay and none other than Comino and the amazing Blue Lagoon.
